Batch 8: client logging out in a loop, workshops, mail, quest turn-ins; bug registry cleaned up
A critical fix for the showcase group (a healer kept sitting down by her own client for 15 hours), three behaviour loops removed, and a bug registry that now reflects the real state of the game.

Critical: logout requests from the client
The client attached to Silane (showcase healer), left without human input, had been requesting a logout every ~5 s for 15 hours (11,413 requests). Each request sits the character down and cancels its spells: Silane had been stuck in combat for nearly an hour. For a virtual character on autopilot, these requests are now ignored (closing the client still drops the connection) and counted in the log.
Loops removed
| Loop | Occurrences | Fix | |---|---|---| | "heading to the workshop" / "settling at the workshop" | ~2,800 | an out-of-reach workshop (anvil, forge, fire) is set aside by type, with a cap on attempts; recipes depending on it are no longer tried one by one | | "checking the mail" | 76 | trip to the mailbox only when something can be collected (full bags: nothing to take) | | impossible quest turn-ins ("Rite of Wisdom"…) | 79 | more than 10 attempts in 30 min: quest set aside for 2 h |
Bug registry
- Bugs not seen for 6 h are closed automatically and attributed to the batch that made them disappear; reopened as regressions if they come back. Result: 214 bugs closed, 121 attributed to a specific batch.
- Isolated quest abandons rated minor (players sometimes drop a quest), promoted when 3 classes abandon the same one.
- Death streaks rated normal (mortality tracked by metrics); "critical" reserved for crashes, long stalls and server slowdowns.
- Battleground flag defence excluded from the idle detector.
Verification
Deployments without crash; no more logout requests from Silane since the fix.
