Website: characters page, Free-Will work in progress and a rewritten How it works
All 62 characters can now be browsed on the site (sortable table and character sheets), a page follows the module's work in progress, and How it works describes the Pantheon project. The site stays a static showcase: one snapshot per minute, no load per visit.
New pages
- Characters: a table of the 57 characters outside the showcase group (faction, race, class, specialization, level, zone, activity, online, deaths, quests turned in), with sorting and faction/class filters run entirely in the browser. Each name opens a full sheet: XP bar and XP per hour, HP, gold, average item level, professions, cumulative stats and time played.
- Free-Will: the autonomous player module's work in progress, the next batch, the roadmap and the latest batches shipped (linked to this log).
- How it works: rewritten for the Pantheon project (62 characters, deterministic brain with no AI at runtime, shared pace, showcase group, game content integration, bug analysis and batches of fixes).
Web server load
- Data for the 62 characters is computed once a minute on the server and sent as a single compact snapshot (about 50 KB).
- Pages are regenerated at most once a minute from that in-memory snapshot: no database query and no computation per visit. The 62 character sheets are pre-generated; any other address returns 404 without rendering.
- The web server applies rate limiting (stricter on the API) and a micro-cache.
- Local load test with 200 concurrent connections: 420 to 840 pages per second served directly by the site, median response time 230 to 450 ms; through the web server, rate limiting rejects the excess requests (429) and the site stays at a few percent of one core. Game server load is unchanged during the test.
