Dungeons: the Horde group formed in minutes instead of 47

The first Horde group took 47 minutes to form: its only tank walked towards unreachable repairers instead of using its hearthstone, and healers had to buy two lots of drinks. The tank now goes home to get repaired with its hearthstone, and one lot is enough: on the test server, the tank signs up in less than 2 minutes.

The finding

In last night's trial, the first Horde group only formed after 47 minutes. Two causes:

  • the only possible tank needed an urgent repair. It walked for 38 minutes towards repairers nearly 2 km away, without ever getting closer. Its hearthstone, ready, would have put it in 30 seconds next to a repairer by its inn;
  • the healers needed 6 drinks of their level. But drinks are sold in lots of 5: they had to buy 10, and one healer could not afford it.
The fixes
  • With no repairer within 600 metres, a character whose hearthstone is ready, and who has a repairer near its inn, goes home with its hearthstone to get repaired, like a player.
  • One lot of 5 drinks is now enough to sign up.
Checked on the test server

With the same 30 characters:

  • the Horde tank goes home with its hearthstone right at the start, and is repaired and signed up 1 minute 40 later instead of 47 minutes;
  • as soon as the healer can sign up with one lot of drinks, the Horde group forms in 3 seconds;
  • the Alliance group forms in less than 3 minutes.
Deployment

The new module version is installed on the server, and the drinks setting is in place. The autonomous players stay stopped.
