Trial statistics: brief visits no longer count as runs

After a restart, autonomous players logging back into a vanished instance are sent straight out, and those few-second visits counted as failed runs. They are now ignored and the counters have been recalculated: over 24 hours, 74% of runs finish the dungeon.

The finding

After every server restart, autonomous players who were in a dungeon log back into an instance that no longer exists, and the server sends them straight out. These few-second visits by a single character were counted as failed dungeon runs.

After the restart on 4 November at 18:32 UTC, there were 1,050 of them in one hour: the home page showed 1,899 runs in the hour and an 11% success rate.

The fix

A run with a single character, lasting under a minute, with no monster killed and no dungeon finished, is no longer counted. The trial's counters have been recalculated from the start: 14,793 runs, 10,871 of them finished, instead of 18,173 runs.

Over the last 24 hours, 74% of runs end with a finished dungeon. The last hour's success rate stays low during the hour after a restart: interrupted runs count, and those restarted afterwards are not finished yet.
