Mortality broken down by class and zone, mounts for level 20
Death review of a hundred players: draenei and blood elf zones have almost none, Mulgore has 80 for 9 tauren; paladins and shamans survive, druids, hunters and warriors fall. Druids now cast instead of swinging their staff, and nobody starts a fight below 80 % health (or 50 % mana). The tauren lost in Feralas made it home. Anticipating: mounts at level 20 and a fallback entrance into dungeons.

The numbers (deaths / players)
| Zone | | Class | deaths per player | |---|---|---|---| | Mulgore | 80 / 9 | druid | 6.2 | | Durotar | 68 / 20 | hunter | 4.7 | | Elwynn Forest | 64 / 13 | warrior | 4.2 | | Tirisfal Glades | 40 / 10 | warlock | 4.1 | | Teldrassil | 37 / 11 | mage | 3.8 | | Dun Morogh | 20 / 17 | priest | 1.9 | | Azuremyst Isle | 1 / 8 | shaman | 0.5 | | Eversong Woods | 1 / 9 | paladin | 0.2 |
Fixes
- Druid: treated as a melee fighter, it ran into melee while its Wraths were interrupted. It is now a ranged caster.
- No fighting half-dead: rest (seated, food, drink, heals) while health is below 80 % or mana below 50 %, before any new voluntary fight.
- Monster packs: watch radius around a target raised from 10 to 14 m.
Results of earlier fixes
Ransha and Rukree, lost in Feralas, went through the spirit healer then their hearthstone: back to Mulgore.
Anticipation
- Level 20: find a riding trainer (Apprentice Riding, 4 g), then a mount vendor available to one's race; mounted for any outdoor trip over 100 m, dismount before fighting.
- Dungeon: if the Dungeon Finder teleport fails (in combat when the group forms), the player uses “Teleport to dungeon” (
CMSG_LFG_TELEPORT).
