Autonomous players: mutual help, AFK breaks and play sessions

Autonomous players buff passers-by, resurrect fallen players of their faction and wait for a healer before releasing. They go AFK now and then and no longer play non-stop: they log off for a break, then come back.

  • Buffing passers-by: a priest, mage, druid or paladin sometimes gives their class buff to a player of their faction who lacks it, occasionally with a little wave. At most once every 20 minutes per person, and not every time.
  • Resurrections: a priest, paladin or shaman out of combat resurrects a player of their faction who fell next to them.
  • Waiting for a healer: a dead player who sees a healer of their faction within 30 m waits up to 20 seconds before releasing, instead of leaving as a ghost right away.
  • AFK: roughly every 40 to 120 minutes, somewhere quiet (inn, town, safe spot), they sit down and go AFK for 1 to 6 minutes. The server answers 'away' to anyone writing to them. If attacked, they come back at once.
  • Play sessions: each player plays for 1.5 to 4 hours, then logs off out of combat for a 5 to 25 minute break and comes back. They never leave a group where a human is playing.
