Autonomous players: warriors get their stance back, plus a series of common-sense fixes

Warriors never took a battle stance: their abilities were refused over and over, and they accounted for about 20% of deaths. That is fixed, along with a series of absurd behaviours: tools sold then bought back, swimming to an island, AFK at the water's edge, looting while half dead, logging off in the middle of a camp.

  • Battle stance: without a stance a warrior can neither charge, execute nor rend. The stance was not in their spell list and is lost on death: about 10,500 server refusals, and warriors dying 1.2 to 1.6 times more than others. They now take it again as soon as it is missing.
  • Tools: the skinning knife and fishing rod were deemed 'useless' and sold to the vendor, then bought again (232 rods bought for 52 in existence). They are now kept.
  • Fishing: the urge to fish was postponed by hours before even looking for water. Now, with no water nearby, the player tries again a few minutes later.
  • City strolls: a player swam towards Darnassus, on its island, and drowned over and over. A city stroll now requires a walkable path.
  • Deaths without a monster: after two deaths with no foe at the same spot (drowning, fatigue), the player no longer goes back to the corpse and uses the spirit healer.
  • AFK: never in or next to water.
  • Loot: below 50% health the player catches their breath before looting, and gives up a corpse guarded by a resting monster.
  • Logging off: no more logging off among monsters. Players do it in town, at an inn, or at least away from danger, like a human ending their evening.
  • Night: around 3 am a European server empties. Night sessions are shorter and breaks longer (1 to 4 hours).
