Autonomous players: potions drunk wisely, and a first night report

Potions went too fast (1,197 in 40 minutes). They are now kept for real danger, and players buy more from vendors who sell them. Fishing also starts with a few weak monsters nearby. Since the start of the night, mortality has dropped by about a third.

  • Saving potions: a player no longer drinks a potion against a monster about to fall. They must be below 30% health, and either facing several foes or a target still in good shape.
  • Restocking: at a vendor selling healing potions (mostly town alchemists), the player buys up to three, within 15% of their purse.
  • Fishing: only monsters of their own level within 25 m now prevent settling by the water, rather than any murloc within 35 m.
  • Night breaks: at the 03:52 UTC restart, 30 players stayed on their offline break until the end, as intended.

Night report on mortality (deaths per minute per 100 players): about 5.5 between 22:00 and 01:00 UTC, then 4.2 to 4.7 after warriors got their stance back, then about 3.4 since potions arrived.
