The game server starts on its own after a machine reboot
After the machine reboots, the database, the login server and the world server start automatically, in the right order. Startup was checked by replaying the boot sequence.
Autonomous players paused: all resources go to Crashtroller
The 299 other autonomous players are paused. The server now only plays Crashtroller, the main prototype, to focus work on making him an elite hunter. A first one-hour monitoring report was sent, and its first fixes are in place.
No GM account left on the realm
The only existing account, created with administrator level, is back to a regular player (level 0). The realm no longer has any account with game master rights.
Cleanup: two system files inherited from the previous installation removed
A sudo rule targeting a deleted account and a log rotation targeting a removed service were taken out. The sudo and logrotate configuration remains valid.
The realm is now called “Murloc Cult - Free Will Compile”
New realm name, applied without a restart: the authserver reloads the realm list every 20 seconds. The name a client receives was checked with a realm list request.
